Active odor neutralizer

is a device used to remove pollutants from the air escaping from various types of devices and installations: sewage pumping stations, expansion wells, sewage treatment plants, biogas plants, sorting plants and solid waste landfills, animal breeding farms and all kinds of production plants. The neutralizer is equipped with a carefully selected bed of activated carbon through which air flows and is purified. The air flow is forced by an exhaust fan. Depending on the place of use and the composition of polluted air, we select the appropriate activated carbon, its mass, air flow and other important parameters of the device.

STANDARDIZED DEVICE

STANDARDIZED DEVICE

Our standard offer includes an active odor neutralizer for cleaning the air released from municipal sewage systems. thanks to the use of an active neutralizer, the air outside the facilities is free of toxic and odorous substances, but also inside the chambers the concentration of hydrogen sulphide is low enough that it does not cause corrosion of the bodies (usually concrete). Therefore, two benefits are obtained: no unpleasant odors, no corrosion of object bodies.

Facilities where standard odor neutralizers are most often used:

  • sanitary sewage pumping stations
  • expansion wells
  • sewage treatment plants

Parameters of a standardized device

Before using the described device, it is necessary to verify whether the device is sufficient to achieve the intended purpose. In the case of large facilities, it may be necessary to make an individual selection.

Plug & play device

AFTER CONNECTING THE VENTILATION DUCT, JUST INSERT THE PLUG INTO THE SINGLE-PHASE 230V POWER SOCKET AND THE DEVICE STARTS WORKING!

  • Filter: activated carbon, impregnated
  • Fan: exhaust, 230 V, 55 W
  • Efficiency: 80 m3/h
  • Foundation required: minimum 800 x 800 mm
  • Sound pressure level: 35 dB(A)

Active odor neutralizers should be placed on the foundation, load-bearing subgrade layer, or pumping station body. A single-phase power supply must be supplied to the neutralizer. Air should be supplied to the neutralizer through a ventilation duct, in the neutralizer body there is a PE connector with a diameter of 110 mm, with a spigot end.

Effective technology

Thanks to the use of activated carbon to neutralize odors, the device is effective regardless of the temporary concentration of pollutants (resistant to fluctuations), resistant to changes in humidity and temperature of the ventilated air and ambient temperature. A properly selected carbon bed guarantees air purification of virtually all odorous compounds.

Easy operation

The unit does not require any complex maintenance work. If the unit is installed in a location that allows for self-draining of the condensate, the only maintenance work is the periodic inspection of the electrical system and the fan. If it is not possible to drain the condensate automatically, the drain valve should be unscrewed according to a fixed schedule.

Low operating costs

In terms of reliability, consistency of purification performance, amount of maintenance work, the unit has low running costs compared to alternative technologies. Thanks to its versatility, activated carbon is particularly suitable for use in facilities with high concentrations of hydrogen sulphide, which have a negative effect on other air purification technologies.

Fireplace neutralisers

The Fireplace Neutraliser is a device used for the removal of airborne contaminants generated in facilities belonging to the sanitary sewer infrastructure. The neutraliser is equipped with an activated carbon bed, through which the air flows and is thus purified. The air flow is forced by gravity – through the naturally occurring pressure difference inside and outside the chamber. Chimney neutralisers are considered to be effective devices for the removal of air pollutants emitted from uncombusted wastewater, as well as those emitting dangerous hydrogen sulphide. Thanks to the use of a chimney neutraliser, the air escaping into the premises is free of toxic and odorous substances. These devices are particularly suitable for use in areas where there is no electrical supply, which eliminates the possibility of using an active odour neutraliser, and in areas where the air pollution does not contain hydrogen sulphide (the unpleasant smell is caused by fresh sewage with its characteristic faecal odour).

Facilities where chimney odour neutralisers are most commonly used:

  • Expansion wells
  • Inspection wells for sanitary sewage systems
  • Wastewater treatment plants
  • Sewage pumping stations

Device parameters:

  • Bed: activated carbon, impregnated
  • Diameter: 110 mm, 160 mm, 200 mm
  • Efficiency: 12 m3/h
  • Material: polyethylene

Installation conditions:

The chimney neutralizers are suitable for installation in light openings located in manhole covers as well as next to the manhole (after the ventilation pipe has been fed in). The opening is sealed using a sealing passage for smooth-walled pipes with an external diameter of 110 / 160 / 200 mm. Sealing can also be ensured by using sealing chains.

Under-entry neutralizers

Under manhole neutralizer is a device used to remove air pollutants generated in facilities belonging to the sanitary sewage infrastructure. The neutralizer is equipped with a bed of activated carbon through which air flows and is purified. The air flow is forced by gravity – through the naturally occurring pressure difference inside and outside the chamber. Under-manhole neutralizers are considered effective devices for removing air pollutants emitted from unspoiled sewage, as well as those emitting dangerous hydrogen sulphide. Thanks to the use of an under-entry neutralizer, the air escaping outside the facility is free of toxic and odorous substances. These devices are used especially in places where there is no possibility of electrical power supply, which eliminates the possibility of using an active odor neutralizer, and in places where air pollution does not contain hydrogen sulphide (an unpleasant odor is caused by fresh sewage with a characteristic fecal odor).
Objects where fireplace odor neutralizers are most often used:
  • Expansion wells
  • Inspection wells for sanitary sewage systems
  • Wastewater treatment plants
  • Sewage pumping stations
Device parameters:
  • Bed: activated carbon, impregnated
  • Diameter: 110 mm, 160 mm, 200 mm
  • Efficiency: 12 m3/h
  • Material: polyethylene
Installation conditions: Fireplace neutralizers are designed for installation in holes located in sewage well covers and next to the well (after connecting a ventilation pipe). The hole is sealed with a tight passage for smooth-walled pipes with an external diameter of 110 / 160 / 200 mm. Sealing can also be provided by using sealing chains.

Active carbon

Activated carbon
We offer services in the field of replacing activated carbon in existing odor neutralizers and other devices in which activated carbon is used.

Before starting the implementation, we also offer verification of the correctness of the selection of activated carbon – both in terms of quality and quantity.

Chemical dosing stations

Chemical dosing stations are used to precisely dose various chemical substances in order to obtain the intended effect as a result of the occurring chemical reactions. These devices automatically dose the required amount of chemical according to the established algorithm. Stations vary depending on the dosing method and the type of chemicals that are dosed.
The offered chemical dosing stations are used for:
  • preventing hydrogen sulphide emissions from sanitary sewage,
  • chemical precipitation of phosphorus in sewage treatment plants,
  • dosing of polyeletrolytes to increase the effectiveness of sewage sludge dewatering, dosing
  • disinfectants for disinfection of drinking water at water treatment plants.
These devices consist of the following elements:
  • dosing pump – selected depending on the dosed medium, required flow and pressure,
  • suction and dosing line – selected depending on the dosed medium and dosing method,
  • storage tank – suitable for the medium being stored, with the required volume,
  • spill tank – with a volume ensuring protection of the surroundings against contamination,
  • power and control system – meeting the user’s functional requirements,
  • mixers – if it is necessary to mix two-component agents,
  • housing – if it is necessary to install the device outside the room.
Due to the large number of variables influencing the final shape of the device, each chemical dosing station is designed individually to achieve the intended effect.
